‘A Kid From Queens’
by Sammy Anzer
Sammy Anzer began his stand-up journey in Memphis, honed his craft, and now calls Denver home—but at heart, he’ll always be a kid from the streets of Queens. Sammy’s full-length debut album follows the success of his chart-topping co-debut album Residual Income. In this outing, expect bold, racially charged humor, sharp introspection, and clever commentary on navigating America’s society through the lens of Sammy’s multi-racial experience.
At Public School 220 off the Horace Harding Expressway, joking with friends from all walks of life was just part of the culture—and Sammy embraced it wholeheartedly. Now, as a touring comic eager to meet the world, mic in hand, he delivers performances that are as thought-provoking as they are hilarious.

In his series, Comedians Talk Art, Sammy explores art with comedians because, "Art is for everyone. For too long, people have felt they need money or special education to appreciate art comedians' have the ability to entertain and educate, and break down audiences' assumptions about how they are allowed to talk about Art and implicitly tell audiences, “The door is open for you to engage with Art, too.”
Anzer has brought authentic marketing content to institutions such as The Denver Art Museum, The Clyfford Still Museum, and Ryan Joseph Gallery. If you’re enticed by the opportunity to break down ivory towers and build a new bridge between the art world and the comedy world, email Sammy.
